Open Source (Apache 2.0)
Apache 2.0 is permissive and commercial-friendly. You can use, modify, and distribute Recorder without restriction.
Best for: individual developers and self-hosted teams starting with the public release.
Get started:
- GitHub repository and releases
- Recorder CLI Quick Start
Enterprise (Self‑Hosted Commercial)
Enterprise adds fleet governance, distributed storage, and multi-tenant controls on top of the same core engine. Public materials here stay high level; specific availability and commercial terms are discussed directly.
Adds:
- Distributed storage and fleet replication
- Multi-tenant authn/authz and fleet governance
- Sidecar and remote service deployment modes
- Automated key rotation and trust root management
- Admin tooling
What Recorder‑E is not:
- Not a public managed service. The public posture described here is self-hosted.
- Not a promise of 24/7 operations. You operate your deployment.
- Not a separate hosted platform. Recorder‑E integrates with standard infrastructure without requiring one.
